David L. Day, PA-C brings over 28 years of clinical experience to Southpoint Family & Urgent Care. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Utah, where he was also a proud member of the Running Utes football team. He earned his Physician Assistant degree from Idaho State University, graduating in 1998, and is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He is also FMCSA-certified to perform commercial driver (CDL) medical examinations.

After graduation, David began his career in Carson City, Nevada — three years in emergency medicine and urgent care, followed by a year in general orthopedics. In 2002, he returned to Idaho and has served the Rexburg community in family practice and urgent care for the past 24 years. His diverse background allows him to offer care for a wide variety of health needs, and he is deeply grateful for the relationships he has built with patients in this area.

David is married to Valerie, his partner of 34 years, and together they have four children — Landen, Madisen, Jordyn, and Amberlyn. Outside of medicine, he enjoys motorcycling, snowmobiling, fishing, and hiking.

Dr. Colby R. Brower grew up on a family farm in Saint Anthony, Idaho — a background that gave him a deep appreciation for hard work, community, and caring for others. He completed his undergraduate education at BYU-Idaho before earning his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine through the Idaho WWAMI program, with a special emphasis in rural family medicine.

He completed his residency through the Idaho State University Family Medicine Residency Program, making history as the first resident to complete the Rexburg training track — a milestone that reflects both his commitment to this community and his pioneering spirit.

Dr. Brower practices full-spectrum family medicine with obstetrics, with a special interest in women's health and pediatrics. He is dedicated to providing thorough, compassionate care for individuals and families at every stage of life.

Dr. Brower and his wife — whom he has known since he was 11 — are proud parents of four children. He served a church mission in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Outside of medicine, he enjoys shooting, riding horses, and spending time in the outdoors. He also has a deep appreciation for a good movie and the perfect bowl of popcorn.
